our french friend steven wobblejay strikes back! after the sublime shake your tingsz ep (qe 45), steve presents again some dope deep raw tunes. lots of old school flava with a new school twist! his partnership with pablo valentino as creative swing alliance (wolf music, faces, tsuba a.o.) has been a great base for developping his own style. another great talent is past, present and future quintessentials artist mat chiavaroli, who’s delivering a rugged and freestylish remix. hang out - the way we love it!

as both a producer and the helmsman of the outis music label, dino sabatini has carved out a distinctive musical style that shows a great reverence for both ancient archetypes and future possibilities for change (see, for example, his mnemosyne co-release with edit select, in which each track is dedicated to a separate greek goddess).

repeat music finally back on vinyl. we are proud to present repeat black as new sublabel. for the first vinyl on it we share two original tracks with you, first comes from reclame (italy) the second one was deliverd by raru (ukraine). while reclames track - entry into the italian parliament focuses on the floor moments, raru s - feel is a broken beat afterhour anthem! that s not all. we engaged two remixers which dont need a further introduction. fuse london labelhead seb zito remixed - feel in a stripped down manner and traffic frankfurt s very own martyne made a weird melodic but great remix of reclames track.

imperative is a groovy house track with delayed vocal stabs & a sampled female vocal running though with added with 808 clicks, chords & a snapping snare. the system2 remix of imperative is just as cool with a rolling breaky drum loop giving it a 90s house feel, again the vocal leads the track with the groovy bass & chords built around it. first up on the b side once again is a cool groove with sampled vocals & electronic bleeps echoing through the mix. last but not least the juliche hernandez remix of once again has a more 90s feel to it. fast paced with great percussive hits & a chunky bassline to lead, all in all great release aimed firmly at the dancefloor.

on its sophomore release, raar s bold mission of unbridled techno with a punk-rock ethos is continued in tracks from label co-founder maelstrom and newest family member, specialivery. opium wars sets a seething tone, deftly holding a line of tension as machines moan and shriek. focused yet dissonant, the discomfort continues to build without resolution, playing the edge but never grasping hold . diameter of recess starts under the skin in maelstrom s typified controlled chaos. as it grows, the track becomes both an aching roar and a needle-sharp, frenzied insistence, a feral yearning and a frustrated surrender. swiss italian carlo bernasconi is a man of many aliases, the most ferocious of which is specialivery. having eagerly taken up the challenge to push further than the original demos sent, dust detector subsystem is a demonstration of this, cumulating in -an extremely rare, compulsive mental movement- presented in both teeth-bared, club-optimized and more pensive beatless versions. it is with great pride and pleasure that we present the evolution of raar. it is our greatest hope that this work inspires and liberates its listeners. released on 12inch via the vinyl factory

wtm038 is definitely an outstanding release, something between house and real love to technoid sounds. the long a side comes with a classical intro and turns into a p erfect groovy but still monumental house track. the b starts with the track * call me a cap* and is the third collaboration with dop . great melodic atmospheric sounds with a perfect arrangement between vocals and all the typical addicted masomenos style. the second one on the b side has a featuring with tobi neumann who releases also his third ep with the french duo. * pushpush* is more trippy with a great step sequencer arrangement. all together, great release again from masomenos and this will be a special one which you surely wont forget

grain remixes !! ashworth s grain lp captured the imagination of many in the music world on its release last year. after releasing two original ep s from the album we get an excellent remix package from three leading lights in electronic music. what better way to wrap up his debut with needwant. the ep serves up three very different remixes all for a different occasion and mood. the ever reliable dorisbourg, who remains one half of the lauded genius of time, takes a laidback electronica approach but with techno at it s heart. newcomer kris davis and yost keep the original feel of cork but provide a sensual but progressive vibe. while simon haydo drives all the way to the end with his remix of fireworks. great production on show across the ep for the emerging producer ashworth.

as per usual, jwb presents an ep of high quality. this time with the helping hand of t. ruggieri. one can appreciate the grand scale of sounds inside a very deep atmosphere. two great remixes as pablo inzunza (little helpers / highgrade) and gus & bonso (wrong state) tops such a fantastic release.

keeping up the urgent pace set by the strength in numbers collection, thema now turns to a modern master of the jakbeat, d’marc cantu. hailing from ann arbor on the fringes of detroit, cantu has worked for more than a decade developing a sound that carries the torch from the box jam originators of techno and house music. his first appearances were alongside the mighty tadd mullinix (better known as james t. cotton) with their 2 am/fm project, before bringing traxx into the fold for the x2 venture. as a solo artist cantu has shored up on labels as highly regarded as crème organization, m>o>s, nation and desire, bringing a rich, full-bodied sound laden with powerful synth hooks, crafty drum programming and a live, jammed-out delivery that overflows with imagination. given his adventurous tendencies and punchy midwestern finish, cantu is a perfect fit on thema and the six tracks that make up this record show a great deal of the diversity the man is capable of, from dancefloor burners to atmospheric introspections.

ahead of him releasing a full length album on mos in 2016, key label artist marcoantonio spaventi is teasing us with a three track prelude ep. spaventi hails from italy, but is based in amsterdam, and is someone who deals in misty, chicago referencing house sounds that are loaded up with a real sense of analogue jack. as well as on mos he releases on slow motion, most excellent ny and pizzico records, and in summer 2015 he put out a leftfield electro, italo, soundtrack and disco full length, viaggi, that showed he has great range in the studio.
